Highlight high mutual DNA matches on MyHeritage

MyHeritage has an excellent feature on their DNA matching platform which not only shows you how many shared cM you have with a match, but also shows you how many cM your mutual matches share with each other. This is incredibly helpful for determining which of your matches are closely related to each other, allowing you to target your research in an effort to triangulate a most common related ancestor between yourself and multiple of your shared matches.

For many research tasks I am often looking for these high mutual matches so I created a custom tool which makes the shared cM count of mutual matches red and larger than normal if the amount is over 50cM. This helps to find substantial connections much easier at a glance and identify opportunities to target your research.

When you activate MyHeritage Highlight Mutual DNA Matches 50cM+, When activated, when viewing mutual matches with a DNA connection the shared cM counts on MyHeritage will appear larger and appear in red if they are over 50cM. You can also adjust the threshold of the cM level at which matches are highlighted in the advanced settings panel.

MyHeritage Highlight Mutual DNA Matches 50cM+ is available in Genea Research Tools for Google Chrome, it can be installed in one click from the Chrome Web Store: Click here to install Genea Research Tools from the Chrome Web Store
