With Download Matches Pages as CSV File, a new button titled Download CSV appears at the top of your DNA Matches page, along with an input box to select the number of pages you’d like to download.

The resulting CSV file includes the following columns:

  • Match Name
  • Estimated Relationship
  • Maternal/Paternal Side
  • Shared Centimorgans (cM)
  • Tree Status
  • Tree Size
  • Whether a Common Ancestor is identified
  • Any notes you have saved

This data can be used in a variety of tools and applications to enhance your research and uncover valuable connections.

How do I use Download Matches List as CSV File?
  • Ensure Download Matches Pages as CSV File is enabled in the Genealogy Assistant pop-up panel.
  • Navigate to any DNA Matches List page on Ancestry.
  • Enter the desired number of pages to download in the input box to the right of the Download CSV button.
    • Select 50 pages or less per download. You can repeat the download process after completion to continue further.
  • Click the Download CSV button, and Genealogy Assistant will navigate through the specified number of pages, process the data, and save it as a CSV file.
  • Find the CSV file in your default download folder and use it for your research project.
  • If you wish to download additional pages, you can simply click the download button again directly after the first process finishes.
